Tuition Support Program

 

Through the generosity of families of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, an endowment has been created to provide tuition support to parish families with children attending Good Shepherd Episcopal School. We hope the fund will strengthen relationships between the church and our school through its families. We invite you to review the guidelines and complete an application.  Please complete a separate application for each child and return to the church office by Thursday, April 30. Parish Sponsored Tuition Support Guidelines for 2020-21 School Year

Program Purpose:

To provide financial support to children of Active Parishioners who are admitted to Good Shepherd Episcopal School.

 

Tuition Support Determination: 

The annual maximum distribution from the Tuition Support Fund will be calculated after the close of each calendar year.  After determination of any need-based assistance, the remaining annual distribution will be shared by each qualifying child on a pro-rata basis.  The funds will be transferred to GSES and reflected on the tuition statement.  The church will notify the family by letter no later than May.

 

Program Guidelines:

To qualify as an Active Parishioner, each of the following guidelines must apply:

  • At least one parent or student is a confirmed member in good standing,

  • The family is a giver of record for the year previous if new to Good Shepherd or made and completed a pledge in the previous year, and has made a financial pledge to the Church for the year in which the tuition support is given, 

  • They are in regular attendance in Sunday worship,

  • Children and students regularly participate in age appropriate programs such as Sunday School, Choir, Confirmation Class, Student Ministry, or Outreach ministries, and

  • Parents of children provide some volunteer support throughout the academic year to the church ministries.
