Friday, August 16

Feed My Starving Children

Time: 5 - 7 PM | Location: Parish Episcopal School | Ages: 5+

Kids and adults hand-pack nutritious MannaPack® meals specifically designed to assist in reversing and preventing undernutrition. Since FMSC’s Richardson warehouse was damaged during recent storms, we are excited to join in the MobilePack event happening at Parish Episcopal School. Spots fill up fast, so grab yours soon.

About Feed My Starving Children:

As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC meals are hand-packed by volunteers and sent to an incredible network of partner organizations that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development (FMSC Info Sheet, 2023). Saturday, August 17

Park Clean Up

Time: 9:00 – 11:00 AM (approximate end time) | Location: 10011 Midway Rd, Dallas, TX 75229

Volunteers will work at Walnut Hill Park, cleaning litter and debris and mulching trees.

HopeKids

Time: 5:30 - 8:30 PM | Location: Good Shepherd Episcopal Church

Help host parents involved in HopeKids for a special date night in the Parish Hall. Volunteers will setup, cook, serve, and clean up.

Ages: 18+

HopeKids is an organization that supports the families of children with cancer or other life-threatening medical conditions by providing events, activities, and community support. Sunday, August 18

Austin Street Center

9:15 AM | Location: Good Shepherd Episcopal Church

5:15 PM | Location: 1717 Jeffries Street, Dallas, TX

Help us feed the men and women at Austin Street Center, a shelter in the heart of Dallas serving those experiencing homelessness. You can serve in a variety of ways, from donating needed food and other items to prepping food during the 9:15 formation hour, cooking after church, or serving dinner on-site that evening.

Ages: All Ages except for Serving Dinner (10+)

Spots Available: 65 for prep, 5 for transportation, 15 for serving dinner (+ donations of food items)

Austin Street Center provides safe shelter and meets the basic needs of the most vulnerable homeless. Beyond meeting basic needs, Austin Street is committed to helping our clients regain their independence and find a permanent place to call home. No matter how they got here, we focus on a caring, customized, collaborative approach that involves a variety of services and special programs to remove barriers to permanent housing. Metrocrest Services

Time:  1 - 4 PM | Location: 1145 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, TX 75006

Serve at Metrocrest Services' food pantry. Volunteers will help stock shelves, assist clients, and load vehicles. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Ages: 13+
