The Teachings of Jesus
For eight weeks, we will explore stories of the Gospels that call us to a better way of living. We begin with the story of Jesus’ baptism by John. In a way this is how God the Father introduces his Son to those he will come to call his disciples. God has become one of us and has made it plain he wants to be in a relationship with us. Jesus calls us to meet him personally so we can become more than what we can make of ourselves.
We will explore stories about Jesus and the stories (or parables) that Jesus told himself, all in the hope of better understanding what it means to be recreated in God’s image.
